An example of photograph before and after I have retouched it.
Notice how I worked out the rips and creases in the photograph.
I adjusted the values too, to restore the photograph to its original
soft glow. With a full range of light to dark.

An example of photograph that I took. The colors have been
adjusted to draw the viewer's attention to the vibrancy of the
foreground while the background, though blurred, feels reflective
because of the light sparkling off of the droplets on the leaves.
